Historically, men have been a little bit more shy about requesting or researching cosmetic treatments. Nowadays, more men are turning to cosmetic products and treatments as a solution to their own skin conditions.
Luckily, men no longer have to go under the knife to turn back the hands of time. Yourderm can help men reclaim a more youthful appearance with a little help from non-surgical anti-aging procedures.
During your complimentary consultation, all of the options can be discussed, and you can learn about which treatment would best address your areas of concern.
Hair Growth Procedures (PRP)
Until recently, the only real option for restoring hair was hair transplant, which required surgery and an ample amount of donor hair to donate to the thinning areas.
Besides being costly and invasive, hair transplants could have the downside of looking “obvious” – giving men another reason to stay away from the procedure.
Another reason to be glad to be alive in our modern times: hair restoration procedures that are minimally-invasive and actually cause hair to grow back. This is far preferable to transplants since the procedure has no “downtime”.
We’ve had great success with PRP Hair Restoration. This procedure involves injecting your own blood into areas of hair loss in your scalp, stimulating hair growth in these follicles. After the treatment, you will start growing new, longer and thicker hair.

As we age, with loss of fat and changes in bone structure, the shape of the face changes.
Fillers can also be used to soften folds of the face such as the nasolabial folds and marionnette lines. Men can also get a very subtle enhancement of the lips as well for a more youthful look. This will not ‘change’ your appearance or make you look like ‘you have had work done’.

PRP – Platelet Rich Plasma
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is a novel therapeutic modality that utilizes the growth factors that are abundant within platelets to regenerate diseased and scarred tissues.
A small vial of blood is taken from a vein, usually the back of the hand or elbow area, and is centrifuged to separate the blood cells from the plasma and platelets. The red blood cells are safely discarded. Then, the growth factors are released from the platelets and are immediately injected into the diseased tissue. The appeal of the process is that one’s own growth factors are used to regenerate tissue.

Rosacea and Redness
Rosacea is a common condition characterized by excess redness of the face which ultimately produces obvious “broken capillaries” and may be associated with acne-type bumps.
This condition is readily treated with an individualized approach, combining sunscreens, topical creams, laser and, if necessary, prescription antibiotic pills.
This treatment approach minimizes bruising risk while maximizing benefits. There is a mild “pinching” sensation. Topical gel is used to cool the skin before treatments, minimizing discomfort.
Anesthesia or pain medicine is usually not required. Most patients require one to three treatments. Most patients have no downtime.

There are several treatment options available depending on the severity of the sweating and where it occurs. A consultation with your doctor will determine the best treatment option for you.
BOTOX® Injections for Hyperhidrosis – BOTOX® treatment for hyperhidrosis works by temporarily blocking the secretion of chemical transmitters at the level of the sweat gland thereby “turning off” the body’s sweat glands.
MiraDry – Treatment is customized for each underarm with multiple placements of the miraDry Handpiece. The miraDry procedure is non-invasive; it involves no surgical incisions or cuts. Prior to the procedure, temporary markings are placed on the skin to guide treatment, and local anesthesia is administered to the underarms to maintain patient comfort.

As the number of individuals with tattoos has increased, so has the need for improved tattoo removal methods. Tattoo removal methods have evolved from potentially harmful treatments that often had painful and sometimes permanent side effects to less harmful methods with good results.
